Google Search Tips

The techniques of Boolean Searching apply here. You all know how to search Google but there are some tips in Google more search help that can make your search more efficient such as using quotation marks to make Google search a whole phrase or using a wildcard to make Google search singular or plural of a word.

Advanced Search also makes it easier to use the boolean techniques than basic search because it provides a form for entering phrases, multiple synonyms for a word and "notting" unwanted items.

Images Advanced Search Allows you to find images by content (eg faces), size, shape (square, tall, wide), file type (jpeg, gif etc), colour (full or b&w) and even use restrictions.

If you follow the link provided here Google More/Even More you will find additional features below may be particularly useful in searching for information.google even more
