Title:  THE ARTSINFORM SHOW
Exhibit Dates: Sept 1-30, 2010
Sponsor: University of Guelph Library
Venue: University of Guelph Library, main floor
Jurors:  Martin Pearce, Faculty, dept of Fine Art; Dawn Owen, Assistant Curator at Macdonald Stewart Art Centre; Renann Isaacs, art consultant, curator and dealer.
Eligibility: Guelph Artists who are NOT currently affiliated with the university and are 18 and over. Only original work created in the last five years without the supervision of an instructor will be accepted.
Eligible work: all media except video or live performance.  All work must be presented in a professional manner and ready to be exhibited. 3-D work must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly mounted for hanging.  All wall pieces must be securely wired.  Works on paper should be framed, wired and under glass, plexiglass preferred. Accepted work inadequately prepared will not be included in exhibition. For the safety of the artwork and visitors, the library may be obliged to refuse accepted works considered too fragile or difficult to display. Size of wall works is restricted to 54 inches in any direction including frame.
How to make your submission: You must make your submission electronically (via email).  You may submit up to 3 entries. These should be in the form of 1 low res JPEG images (72 dpi, under 250KB per file) per entry except in the case of 3D work when an extra angle may be included. Please supply relevant contact information (name, email, phone number, website URL, best time to reach you). Deadline for submission Aug 12, 2010. Please include information on title, dimensions of each piece (in inches), media, and date created. No entry fees or commissions will be charged. Submission is free. No hanging fees will be paid. All sales of work must go through artists. All submissions will be reviewed by jury, and all who make a submission will be contacted. Works not selected may be displayed in an electronic Salon de Refusés in a computer slide show at the library.
